1980
Iconic beginnings
The business was started in London in 1980, when Mr Matin, a seamster with an eye for quality and love of tailoring, formed a small factory in the East-end of London producing the iconic Burberry trench and duffle coats.
1984
FCI is established
‘Fashion Club International’ (FCI) is founded. A family run business with a vision of quality and ethics at its heart. Today we operate design and manufacturing facilities between London and Bangladesh with over 10,000 employees, remaining true to our founding principles.
1989
Larache Fashion
The creation of an emerging economy start up venture called ‘Larache Fashion’ a 4 facility garment production unit with 6000 employees.
1992
Eagle Box and Carton Manufacturing Ltd
FCI acquires ‘Eagle Box and Carton Manufacturing Ltd’, listed on the national stock exchange and the largest industrial printing and packaging company in Bangladesh, the group returns the business to profitability within two years of takeover and privatisation.
1997
FCI (BD) Ltd.
FCI adds clothing manufacturing facilities and first outerwear production unit in Bangladesh to the group with ‘FCI (BD) Ltd’. Since its launch it has won 9 best in country awards for sustainable and ethical practices.
2009
Talisman
The group becomes a specialist manufacturer of formalwear with the founding of ‘Talisman’

Helicon
‘Helicon’ is launched and with it a specialist end to end service for fully fashioned knitwear.
May 2015
Alliance
Focusing on ladies casual wear, the FCI group lauches ‘Alliance’
2018
Young International
The group acquires ‘Young International’ a vertically integrated athleisure production plant.
2020
Sartorial
FCI makes the move into gentlemen’s tailoring with the launch of ‘Sartorial’
